Painkiller é uma reimaginação da clássica franquia, com suporte a co-op para até três jogadores e jogabilidade offline completa. Enfrente hordas de demônios e terrores titânicos em ambientes góticos ricamente detalhados. Preso no Purgatório, você é condenado por suas transgressões contra o Céu. Mas a Voz do Criador lhe dá a chance de redenção. Como um dos Campeões, sua missão é deter o anjo caído Azazel, que está prestes a liberar seus exércitos demoníacos sobre a Terra. Você enfrentará hordas de inimigos, demônios com poderes únicos e os três filhos monstruosos de Azazel — os Nephilim. Será que você cumprirá sua missão e alcançará a salvação? O Purgatório é seu campo de jogo — salte, deslize e use o gancho através de vastos biomas enquanto luta contra inimigos com um arsenal de armas novas e clássicas de Painkiller.
