Nacido del amor por los juegos de rol tradicionales para ordenador, Broken Roads presenta una narrativa rica y atractiva en la que los jugadores tendrán que abrirse camino en la Australia desolada del futuro. Además de combinar elementos de juegos de rol tradicionales y totalmente nuevos en un sistema sin clases que ofrece opciones de desarrollo de personajes casi ilimitadas, Broken Roads brinda a los jugadores un sistema de moralidad original: la brújula moral. Esta función novedosa provocará que las opciones de diálogo y las decisiones que se tomen durante las misiones influyan y se vean influenciadas por la inclinación filosófica de los personajes.
