About This Game

Step into the world’s first Tactical Extraction Looter, where your courage and leadership are put to the ultimate test against monsters born from pure fear. Command a crew of Scavengers – ordinary people, but tough enough to stare down their nightmares with guns at the ready. Dive into the twisted City, grab whatever you can carry, and fight your way back out. It all starts with a simple newspaper ad promising a new gold rush – a ruined City packed with riches just waiting to be claimed. Behind this ad is Doc, a snake-oil genius with plans to harness the Nightmare and use its power to shape the future. As you explore each District, you will uncover the truth behind Doc’s ambitions and the chaos spreading through the City. Every Scavenger you rescue carries one of sixteen Fears, and each Fear draws in its own Dreadweaver – the name locals give to these living nightmares. From six-shooter-wielding spiders to sinister puppets wielding scissors, the threats are as varied as they are terrifying. Your choice of crew for each raid determines which monsters and dangers you will face, and what resources you can harvest from your fallen foes. Combat is turn-based, ruthless, and completely deterministic – no dice rolls or hit chances. Each fight is a strategic puzzle, packed with interactable objects and hazards. Bounce bullets off milk cans, shove enemies into burning stoves, push foes into your partner’s line of fire, and chain your kills to extend your turn. The difference between a total wipeout and a flawless victory comes down to how well you read the battlefield – it’s a weapon in its own right for those sharp enough to use it. Experience a groundbreaking blend of turn-based tactical combat and the high-risk, high-reward loop of Extraction Shooters. The City’s Districts are infinite and randomly generated, brimming with danger and opportunity. Map nodes lead to battles, useful facilities, strange anomalies, and quests. Venture deeper to increase the Nightmare Level – making battles tougher but loot far more valuable. Backpack space is limited, and falling in combat means losing everything you brought in. Decide when to push your luck for better rewards, and when to head back to the Hideout with your haul. Playing it safe rarely pays the bills, but you cannot enjoy your winnings if you do not make it out alive. Bring your loot – weapons, gear, Nightmare Essence, and monster parts – back to the Hideout, the only place in the City safe from the Nightmare. Combine harvested eyes, teeth, and spines with everyday junk and innovative ideas to upgrade your reality-defying gear. Expand the game's four unlock trees, customize your crew’s combat style and appearance, and unlock new ways to send the monsters back to where they came from. Between raids, the Hideout is yours to manage. Organize your roster, upgrade equipment, unlock new Compounds, and prepare the perfect loadout for your next Raid. The right gear for the right job is the difference between a big payday and disaster. The 1.0 launch brings 16 Fears and enemies, over 80 upgradable items, more than 30 interactables and hazards, four playable character classes, four unlock trees, four distinct Districts, and eight unique tactical objectives. All of this is wrapped into an endless, procedurally generated Nightmare.
