Your journey in Sector Unknown kicks off as a prisoner on a transport ship, from which you make a daring escape in a commandeered pod, crash-landing on Maku—a forgotten world shrouded in a remote and unexplored corner of space. This planet becomes the springboard for your adventure as you transform it into your stronghold and base of operations. From there, you venture into the cosmos, discovering diverse planets and locations, each bustling with its own factions and stories. Along your path, you'll face the sinister machinations of Star Frontier, the mighty mega-corporation that once held you captive. Operating unchecked in the secretive 'null sector'—now wiped from official star charts—Star Frontier has established a brutal reign of terror and devastation. Your mission is to unite the sector's isolated and deserted planets, either through force or diplomacy, and bring an end to their oppressive rule once and for all.
