About This Game

Mass Effect is a large-scale role-playing game from BioWare set in the realm of space adventures. The story takes place in a distant future, where humanity does not occupy a leading position among the interspecies alliance governed by the so-called "Citadel Council." The protagonist of the game is Captain Shepard, the main contender for the title of the first human "Spectre," an elite soldier of the Council. Shepard must work together with their team to uncover a terrifying conspiracy and stop an ancient evil from destroying life in the galaxy. In Mass Effect, players are free to explore a vast world filled with numerous unique planets, quests, and characters. Players can choose the class, gender, appearance, and gear for their captain, select companions, and even decide on a behavior model—heroic or "renegade"—which opens up new dialogue paths.
