About This Game

**The Legacy** is an immersive cooperative survival game steeped in horror. Set in 1990, our hometown is cursed. Our grandfather, a local molfar and magician, was bound by a dark tradition that demanded he sacrifice one of his descendants to the malevolent forces of the forest every 66 years. Unable to fulfill this grim fate, he made a heart-wrenching decision: he sent me, my two brothers, and my sister to Kyiv to shield us from the curse. Though he saved our lives, the city and its surroundings were left to face death and destruction... Years have passed, and we’ve grown up, carving out our own paths. Yet, the haunting memories of Svetlograd linger in our hearts. During a family dinner, we resolved to return and confront the darkness once and for all, to liberate the city and offer its people a chance at life again. Each of us brings unique skills and strengths to the table, perfectly complementing one another as we prepare for this daunting journey. Equipped with some gear, we set off to face our destiny. **Survival** In **The Legacy**, you’ll navigate a rich survival system. Your character will need food and water, while the chilly autumn climate of the Carpathian Mountains demands you build fires, stay mobile to keep warm, or seek shelter at night. Your stamina is influenced by your chosen character and how full your backpack is. Running low on energy? A bottle of energy drink can give you a much-needed boost. When supplies dwindle and there’s no gas station in sight, you’ll have to catch and cook carp or hunt wild animals to roast their meat over a fire, in an oven, or in a cauldron. And don’t overlook the potential treasures of mushrooms and apples! **Potions, Magic, and Mysticism** Svetlograd is more than just a city, and the surrounding villages hold secrets of their own. Local legends abound with tales of mysticism, both dark and light magic, and mythical creatures—making the inhabitants anything but ordinary. In **The Legacy**, you’ll uncover recipes for magical potions, insights into dark entities and how to combat them, and ancient rituals. Gather herbs, mushrooms, and other ingredients, delve into local mythology, and choose your path to fight evil—whether with firearms or through the power of rituals and potions. **Large Open World and Diverse Locations** Explore a vast open world as you tackle quests and strive for survival. As you venture forth, you’ll come across notes from local residents, sharing mystical tales about Svetlograd and its surroundings. Each time you start a new game, items—from food and weapons to ammo, book pages, enemies, plants, mushrooms, and animals—are randomly generated, ensuring a fresh experience every time you play.
