Take command of a strike force made up of marines, mercenaries, and outlaws in a distant star system, far from the Core Worlds. Starting off aboard the strike cruiser TCRN Impetus, you'll soon be tasked with rallying the scattered inhabitants under your leadership to combat an unknown menace. Deploy tanks, walkers, and infantry squads, all equipped with an extensive array of gear. You'll be responsible for training your troops, strategizing missions, and engaging in intense tactical battles. In MENACE, from the creators of Battle Brothers, you're thrown into a turn-based tactical RPG set in a remote system where a mysterious threat looms large. As part of the Republic Marine Corps, you've been dispatched to restore order to the frontier, only to uncover a danger that threatens the entire system. With distress signals coming from every direction, it's up to you to decide which ones to respond to, how to allocate your resources, and when to strike, all while assessing your readiness. Your decisions will shape your relationships with local factions, influencing their willingness to assist you. Will you cultivate ties with the criminal networks skilled in gathering intelligence, hacking enemy systems, and brokering the best deals? Or will you focus on the recovery and repair teams that ensure your vehicles are battle-ready and supply you with cutting-edge technology? The choice is yours.
