Ash & Rust is an exciting top-down ARPG set in a dark fantasy world, offering incredible diversity and depth in character builds. The game features a unique interface where abilities, traits, and gear interact seamlessly through an intuitive UI grid system. By placing augment shapes into your activated inventory, you can unlock powerful new abilities. The more shapes you fit in, the more power you can wield, making strategic inventory management a rewarding skill. Create your own abilities from scratch by choosing from four base types and then selecting your desired payload and element. As you level up, you can add as many augments as you can fit, tailoring your abilities to perfectly suit your playstyle. With hundreds of augment and equipment choices, you can craft unique and engaging playstyles. For instance, the "Spell Weaving" trait lets you stack a buff each time you cast a different ability, but casting the same ability twice resets the stacks. In Ash & Rust, you are not the hero but an Entity summoned from the Aether to join a powerful organization. As one of many OMENs, you are granted power and authority in exchange for your service to overlords, creatures, and corporations who are willing to pay the most. Your missions will take you to the farthest corners of the world, exploring awe-inspiring places and encountering a diverse cast of characters. While some may fear your arrival, many others will welcome you with open arms. The game offers a deep and layered experience where things are not always as they appear. As an OMEN, you have the potential to wield great influence - what legacy will you leave behind? The creator is committed to supporting and developing the game for years, with plans to introduce new end-game modes, loot, locations, enemies, and quality of life improvements.
