The gods have abandoned the Vollings, driving them to embrace paganism for survival. Yet, the Vollings are nothing if not tough and resourceful. One daring lord has set out to reclaim an island left desolate by a bygone civilization, venturing into a cursed land in hopes of cultivating a rare and profitable spice found only on its slopes. His efforts bear fruit, but he's soon beset by challenges from every direction. Just as he's preparing to defend his fields from an envious neighbor, he learns that everyone from one of his farmholds has mysteriously disappeared. With limited options, he turns to his guards, seeking four brave volunteers to explore the island and unravel this enigma. Dive into the open-world adventure of Invimona with your four generated companions. Each character's unique stats will influence their dialogue choices with NPCs and their interactions with one another as they grow closer throughout the journey. You'll be accompanied by a trusty pack-boro, capable of carrying a boat and any additional items you gather along the way, allowing you to trek and navigate around Invimona's rivers and sea. Discover towns to uncover clues and equip your party with distinctive items. As a guard, you'll assist various locals, including farmers, scribes, artisans, and even Gadaars. Over the past five years since the island's settlement, grave robbers have descended upon Invimona like scavengers, and keeping them confined to Exile Island is an ongoing struggle. In Banquet for Fools, you'll find no auto-compass or quest logs to guide you. Instead, quests and requests come to you through scrolls, making effective navigation across the island a core part of the challenge.
