Sector Unknown is an engaging isometric RPG that takes its cues from legendary titles like Fallout 1/2, Knights of the Old Republic, and Fallout: New Vegas, as well as contemporary favorites such as Wasteland 3, Encased, Colony Ship, Trudograd, and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Every choice you make and every detail in character development carries real weight. While combat is certainly an option, the game also encourages you to explore alternative strategies, using your character's unique skills to creatively and diplomatically navigate the storyline. Your journey in Sector Unknown kicks off as a prisoner on a transport ship, from which you make a daring escape in a commandeered pod, crash-landing on Maku—a forgotten world shrouded in a remote and unexplored corner of space. This planet becomes the springboard for your adventure as you transform it into your stronghold and base of operations. From there, you venture into the cosmos, discovering diverse planets and locations, each bustling with its own factions and stories. Along your path, you'll face the sinister machinations of Star Frontier, the mighty mega-corporation that once held you captive. Operating unchecked in the secretive 'null sector'—now wiped from official star charts—Star Frontier has established a brutal reign of terror and devastation. Your mission is to unite the sector's isolated and deserted planets, either through force or diplomacy, and bring an end to their oppressive rule once and for all. Sector Unknown masterfully blends themes of exploration, discovery, conflict, and greed, crafting an epic saga of adventure and rebellion in the limitless reaches of space.
